Recommended Reading

One of my all-time favorite authors is Francine Rivers. An amazingly gifted Christian author, she brings characters to life that are as real as you and me. I absolutely fell in love with Leota in Leota’s Garden and can’t recommend that book enough!

Another author that I have recently discovered (and also the artist behind the cover of The Fields of Gomorrah) is Lynnette Bonner. A wonderful faith-filled woman, creating characters to love and adventures to be discovered. I am currently enjoying her latest release, Through Dust and Ashes.

As feisty in her eighties, as she has been her entire life. She is filled with faith, in tune with the Spirit’s leading, and has the indomitable courage to follow where He leads. In a life filled with love and loss, join her as she reaches others through the pain of her trials.

The woman in the photo above is my mother-in-law and she is as lovely and inspirational today as ever!

Connections

It is kind of crazy to me in a world that is filled with lightning-speed connections like the internet, tv, and social media, that we can find ourselves feeling very alone. But it’s true. So, what do we do? We connect. With each other. And with God. In ways that were never available before. Less time on the news and social media, more time having coffee with friends, spending time with family, and making memories. And yes, even building online friendships. And that is where we are now! If you have a prayer request, a Bible question (I’m no scholar, but we can learn together), or a question for the author - let’s discuss!! The Bible says in Psalm 34:15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry.

apollo has opinions

Yes, he is my cat. Well, I found him and brought him home anyway. He has the best personality and he does not hesitate to share his opinions. Like the townsfolk in Minecraft, he grumbles. Like Grumpy Cat, he stares in contempt. He plays fetch and smiles. He is the best cat ever. I can’t wait to share stories with you!
